What is AAP and why was it founded?
The Association of Airworthiness Professionals, Inc., or AAP, is a non-profit corporation incorporated in the State of Texas on 30 November 2015. AAP received tax exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service on 19 February 2016. The AAP fulfils its purposes to achieve the AAP Mission to Serve Humankind and the Science of Flight through advancement and promotion of Airworthiness in Industry, Government and Individuals and through its Vision to Foster Innovation and Excellence in Airworthiness.
When and where was AAP founded?
AAP was founded on 30 November 2015 in the State of Texas.
Who runs AAP and how is it governed?
AAP is a member run organization overseen by a Board of Directors and daily operations are performed by an elected slate of officers.
Who is eligible to be a a member of AAP?
Any person or company who shares the mission, vision and purpose of AAP, may become a member of AAP.
How much does it cost to become a member of AAP?
There are two classes of members in AAP; Individual and Corporate. Annual individual dues are $135 for professionals and $40 for students. Annual corporate dues range from $2500 to $10000. More detailed information can be found on our membership page.
Does AAP welcome international members?
Yes. However; at present AAP does not seek international members. We don’t feel we can offer high quality benefits to our international colleagues until AAP programs have become better established.
