AAP Operation

Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is the policy-making body of AAP and may exercise all the powers and authority granted to AAP by law. The Board oversees the operations of AAP to ensure the mission, vision and purposes are carried out. Board meeting minutes and actions by the board are available to all members of AAP upon request.

Officers
AAP is managed by a slate of officers elected from the membership of AAP. All members are eligible to run for any office and elections are held in November of each year. Visit our Governance page for a listing of the current officers.

Annual Member Meetings
The Annual business meeting of AAP is held at a date, time, and place as determined by AAP Board of Directors. Business transacted shall be designated by the Board of Directors for the purpose of electing directors and for transacting such other business as may properly come before the members. Annual meeting minutes and actions by the membership are available to all members of AAP.

Committee Meetings and Proceedings
The Board designates committees and appoints committee members to accomplish such activities as are reasonably anticipated to promote the welfare of AAP and its members and accomplish the business of AAP. Committee minutes and activity are recorded and posted for all members of AAP.

Financial
AAP leadership submits annual reports to the general membership during the annual meeting along with the annual budget. Monthly financial details are available to all members in the AAP Member Pages of the AAP website. Yearly tax filings to the IRS are public information and can be viewed by anyone on filed with the IRS.
